Reopening of the Cluny Museum: the Museum of the Middle Ages welcomes you from May 12
She is to the Cluny Museum what the Mona Lisa is to the Louvre: after years of work, The Lady with the Unicorn awaits you again in the heart of the Middle Ages museum for an epic journey through time. This masterpiece of medieval art dating from the beginning of the 16th century, jewel of the collection, takes its rightful place within a 2500m2 tour route completely redesigned to delight young and old. From the old frigidarium of the ancient thermal baths of Lutèce to the Hôtel des abbés de Cluny, we wander through the corridors of History, in which more than 1000 years of art are revealed. Stained glass, sculptures, jewelry and swords, more than 1,600 works and objects come together today to reveal before our eyes the inestimable richness of a period that continues to fascinate all generations. A successful renewal for the museum, which tells us about the Middle Ages in a very modern way.
