70 years. This is the story of Henri Landier, painter, master engraver, who today celebrates 70 years of creation, here at the foot of the Butte Montmartre in the temple of engraving dedicated to him . Out of more than 2000 works, only fifty have been carefully selected, allowing themselves to be discovered in an intimate and warm setting, as a reflection of the personality of the master of Montmartre.

From his first engravings with tragic accents, produced when Henri Landier was barely 18 years old, to his masterpieces of light, including the seascapes which echo his past as a navigator, the sunny landscapes of a tireless traveler or the incomparable portraits that made him famous throughout the world. Here the capital reveals its thousand and one faces, from a poetic and mysterious vision of post-war Paris to the joyful and melodious accents of today with "Julien and his violin in the sky of Paris".

Everything is there: the precision of the line, the sense of composition, the technical virtuosity of a man who still continues today to print each of his engravings himself with his hand press, like did it by the master engravers of yesteryear, Dürer or Rembrandt. But beyond this impressive performance, what strikes us here is the tireless creative energy of the artist and the extraordinary emotion that emerges from each work, like the memory engraved of suspended time.{ 15}
