To infinity and beyond ! Fasten your seat belts, the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie is setting out to conquer space with this brand new permanent exhibition: Space Mission. The promise of a long journey to the stars that begins... on Earth. Before you can escape Earth's overwhelming gravity, you must be patient and study your next destination. This begins by questioning the role of robotics in the exploration of the solar system. Image collection, atmospheric analyses, rock samples punctuate the first stage of our journey before finally donning the astronaut's outfit and staying aboard a real spaceship. Faced with this tiny 10m3 cabin that can accommodate up to four astronauts, the immersion suddenly becomes total. Between faithful reproductions of satellites, realistic models and the prototype of a European suit, this exhibition spread over 1000 m² takes us on a crazy interplanetary adventure. An incredible race in the sidereal void which raises many questions, the first being: when will Man stop?
