Brancusi exhibition, contemporary echoes at the Negropontes gallery

NEGROPONTES GALLERY

Brancusi is gone, but his work continues to captivate.

It is extraordinary to see that a deceased artist can inspire thousands of gazes. The Negropontes gallery presents the third installment dedicated to Brancusi and continues the journey of an unexpected narrative: that of contemporary artists, often unknown to the general public, confronted with the Romanian genius. But here, a slight nuance: Brancusi's works are exhibited alongside those of a passionate self-taught photographer, Grigorescu, who made the sculptor's work his spearhead. It is then that we discover, through subtle resonances, how much Brancusi continues to influence contemporary creation. Here, one thing is certain: he is very much present. And, seeing himself so loved, he would undoubtedly have smiled.
