It's beautiful, by Nathalie Sarraute, at the Studio-Théâtre
Two parents can no longer say "it's beautiful" in front of their son: Nathalie Sarraute enters the Comédie-Française's repertoire with a play about what words no longer dare to express.

Clément Hervieu-Léger, the new general administrator of the Comédie-Française, brings Nathalie Sarraute into the repertoire and chooses for this purpose the Studio-Théâtre, the stage for his first production with the Troupe in 2011. The play, created for radio in 1972, revolves around a conversation that breaks down: in front of a work of art, a couple finds themselves unable to pronounce the two words of the title, because their son is there. The subject is not art, but the generational and linguistic divide that separates parents from children—and laughter carves out chasms within it. With Alexandre Pavloff, Suliane Brahim, Véronique Vella, and Nicolas Lormeau.
