Loire Estuary, starting from Nantes
Permanent

The city of Nantes offers a truly beautiful journey through contemporary art with its permanent art trail along the Loire Estuary. From Ange Leccia, Felice Varini, Huang Yong Ping, Jean Prouvé, Daniel Buren, François Morellet, and Claude Lévêque—to name just a few—big names abound in this area that has reinvented its relationship with art.

A veritable open-air museum, the trail stretches along the 120 km of the Loire Estuary. The 30 fascinating and poetic artworks invite us to discover this natural heritage, which can be explored on foot, by bike, or by boat from April to October.

Among these impressive installations, you can admire a 120-meter-long serpent, a house in the middle of the water, another at the top of a lighthouse, a soft boat reminiscent of Salvador Dalí's clocks, luminous rings, and even circles of fire…

Embark on this bucolic and fantastical journey that will leave you thoughtful and amazed.
