Guardians of the Galaxy perform their final dance

Would the third and final installment of Guardians of the Galaxy be the best Marvel since Endgame? The question is asked, as we bid farewell to one of the most memorable galactic adventure series on the big screen. For this grand finale, Peter Quill's gang takes us on a much darker adventure than the previous ones, which contrasts with the light atmosphere to which they had accustomed us. Forget the catchy Come and Get your love by Redbone or the equally heady Mr Blue Sky by Electric Light Orchestra on which Baby Groot performed his most beautiful choreography, the scene of opening of this third film sets the tone for everything this final chapter will be. To the sound of an acoustic version of Creep by Radiohead, this Volume 3 opens with two elements which will constitute its narrative heart: a flashback to the animal past of Rocket's laboratory, before a return to the present which brings us back among the Guardians where we see Star-Lord drowning his sorrows in alcohol since the loss of his beloved Gamora. In 10 years, our heroes have changed a lot and so have we. Assuming its dramatic bias and never skimping on emotion, this third part brings a new depth to its characters that we would never have wanted to leave.
