99 Cameras Museum
Permanent collection
Notice to film photography lovers, History enthusiasts or simply the most curious... A new confidential and completely free museum dedicated to the History of photography has just opened its doors at Studio Harcourt in Paris, a Parisian institution of photography par excellence.
A captivating and unique journey through nearly a century of photography, from the beginning of the 20th century to the 1990s: this is what this new temple of photography promises us. Here, however, it is not the photos, the models, the black and white portraits, nor even the legendary photographers that are highlighted, but rather a rare selection of the most iconic vintage cameras of the last century.
In total, a unique collection of 99 legendary cameras from legendary brands like Leica, Hasselblad or Zeiss Ikon, or others less known, collected by Gianpaolo Benincasa and exhibited by his son Federico. Accompanied by descriptions focused on key points and various anecdotes, the treasures highlighted in this pocket museum invite us to an experience that is at once educational, fun and a bit nostalgic, far from clichés.
