La Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson présente une exposition exceptionnelle consacrée à Daido Moriyama, figure majeure de la photographie japonaise contemporaine.

Depuis plus de soixante ans, Daido Moriyama traverse les ruelles d’un même quartier tokyoïte : Shinjuku. Installé là en 1961, il en a fait le cœur battant de son œuvre – murs tapissés d’affiches, néons cassés, corps pressés dans le métro, chiens errants. À quatre vingt-huit ans, il n’a pas déménagé. Ses rues sont devenues son vocabulaire, et son vocabulaire a fait école.

La Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson lui consacre une exposition singulière : la première à traiter Moriyama non comme photographe, mais comme écrivain de la photographie.
