Steve McQueen exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao

GUGGENHEIM MUSEUM BILBAO
From October 9, 2026 to February 21, 2027

The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao has entrusted its Film and Video gallery to Steve McQueen, Oscar winner for 12 Years a Slave and one of the greatest artists of the moving image.

The museum is dedicating 66–76–26 to him, an installation where light, sound, and scale envelop the visitor. The London-based artist seeks less to narrate than to make each person intensely aware of their presence and their breathing. The screen becomes sculpture, the viewer, the very substance of the work.
