Moby Dick, by Plexus Polaire, at the Monfort

Fifty puppets mount an assault on the whale, and Yngvild Aspeli never shows the monster in its entirety.

1

From the fist puppet to the monumental figure, Yngvild Aspeli unleashes seven puppeteers into Melville's novel.Melville. The video recomposes the sea, the wood creaks, obsession takes hold. The company Plexus Polaire does what it does best: leaving it to the spectator to imagine what is being hidden from them.
